Development and Alumni

The Development Office brings together all parts of the ESMS community. We help as many adults and young people as possible to benefit from their links to the schools, through careers and networking events, social activities, fundraising and alumni relations.

People of all ages and generations belong to the ESMS community - former pupils, parents, members of staff, and other friends of the schools. We aim to develop a cohesive community with the school values at the heart of all our relationships.

Our community website called ESMS Connect is available at and we would encourage you to visit and register to access the ESMS community.  Registrations are approved to ensure that only those connected with the schools have access.

We work closely with the DSMC FP Club and the MES FP Guild to support reunion activity and help former pupils connect with each other.

Career and Business Networking
Throughout the year our Engage programme supports parents, former pupils and other friends of the schools to develop their careers or business opportunities.  Our regular networking events enable attendees to learn from each other's experiences, make new contacts and share ideas. Our new community website has a significant networking section so please do register at to offer or seek assistance with your own career or business.

Developing a Culture of Giving
Over 1000 members of our community donate to the Access to Excellence fund, which allows more young people to gain from the superb opportunities available at our schools.  Help us to give the Gift of Opportunity to more children than ever before!

Social Activities
Our community events include coffee mornings for parents of our younger children, shopping evenings, ceilidhs and golf days amongst other activities.  They are an enjoyable and easy way to meet other parents and former pupils and to make friends within the ESMS community. Our Parent Champions programme was launched in September 2014 in the Junior School with an aim to facilitate parents to get together as year groups in social settings both as adults and with families.

See for yourself
