Head of Music

A Head of Music is required, ideally from August 2019, to lead a very successful, dynamic department.  Candidates will be well qualified graduates and experienced teachers, who combine high standards of musicianship with management skills and enthusiasm for their subject and for young people.  Applicants should be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the GTC Scotland.

The Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools comprise Stewart's Melville College, The Mary Erskine School and the ESMS Junior School.  Stewart's Melville College is linked to The Mary Erskine School in a unique arrangement whereby the schools’ Sixth Forms are twinned.  The schools are governed by the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools’ Governing Council.

Sports Attendant (SMC Sports Centre)

The Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are responsible for the operation of the ESMS Sports Centres which are Ravelston Sports Club and the MES Sports Centre. The following vacancy has arisen within the SMC Sports Centre.

Sports Attendant £14,181 - £15,648 per annum (working an average of 31.25 hours per week)

Applicants must have an up-to-date RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

While not essential, it would be advantageous if applicants held one or more of the following Leisure Qualification:

  • NPLQ Trainer Assessor
  • First Aid
  • Pool Plant Operators Certificate
  • Gym Instructors Award
  • Coaching Certificates

Training and development opportunities exist within the Sports Centres

Sports Attendant (MES Sports Centre)

The Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are responsible for the operation of the ESMS Sports Centres which are Ravelston Sports Club and the MES Sports Centre.

The following vacancy has arisen within the MES Sports Centre.

Sports Attendant £13,221 - £14,594 per annum (working an average of 30 hours per week)

While not essential, it would be advantageous if applicants held one or more of the following Leisure Qualification:

  • First Aid
  • Gym Instructors Award
  • Coaching Certificates

e-Plus Staff

The schools' wraparound care services continue to expand and we are always interested to hear from those who are interested to work in our evolving Early Morning, After School and Holiday Clubs. Working within an enthusiastic and dynamic team, staff are responsible for the out of school care of boys and girls aged from 3 to 7 years, based on The Mary Erskine School campus at Ravelston, or with those aged 8 to 12 years, based on the Stewart's Melville College campus at Queensferry Road.
