Visiting Music Teachers – Violin, Flute and Piano

Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools (ESMS) are recruiting for dynamic and enthusiastic Visiting Teachers of Violin, Flute and Piano. The successful candidates will have experience both as a professional performers and also in instrumental teaching at all levels, from beginners to those seeking to apply for University Scholarships.

Communications and Administration Assistant (maternity cover)

Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools (ESMS) are recruiting for a Communications and Administration Assistant (maternity cover) to join the Development Office. This is a temporary maternity cover position available from July 2021 to December 2021. The postholder will be contracted for 18 hours per week. The starting salary will be from £10,343 to £11,064 per annum (pro rata on the ESMS Support Staff E scale), dependent upon qualifications and experience.

PE and Sports Assistant

The Mary Erskine School is seeking to appoint a temporary, part time PE and Sports Assistant to join the school on 19 August 2021 to 1 July 2022 (the 2021-22 academic session). ESMS staff are passionate, pioneering and strive for excellence in everything they do. The postholder will be required to assist the PE department in their curricular and extra-curricular activities. Involvement with Saturday morning sports fixtures is a requirement of the role.

This is a part time position for 36 hours per week during term time. The salary is £8.98 per hour which is £14,548 per annum (point B6 on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales).

Assistant Grounds Person

Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools (ESMS) are recruiting for an Assistant Grounds Person to join our existing team. The role will involve the maintenance of sports pitches (both natural grass and artificial surfaces), ornamental lawns, shrubberies, and other landscaped areas. The postholder will be required to possess a full, clean driver’s license and have experience of driving tractors, using petrol mowers, hedge trimmers, strimmer’s and ride-on mowers.

This is a permanent position available immediately. The hours of work are:

Monday to Thursday – 7.00am to 4.00pm

Friday – 7.00am to 3.00pm

Saturday – 8.00am to 12.00pm (every second Saturday by rota)

The post holder will be contracted for 43 hours per week.

The starting salary will be from £17,958 to £19,431 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. This is a re-advertisement and previous applicants should not apply.
