Marketing Assistant

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing team where you will help plan and execute pioneering, imaginative marketing campaigns to raise the profile of our family of Schools.

The role covers the full spectrum of marketing channels from digital marketing and social media to traditional advertising, print production and PR.  We are looking for a creative, self-starter with exceptional written communication skills, organisational skills, strong attention to detail and outstanding people skills. Previous experience in a school is not necessary.

Salary is from £23,403 to £23,961 per annum, depending on experience.

Hockey GAP Assistant

We have a vacancy for a Hockey GAP Assistant from 24 August 2020 to 2 April 2021.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated player, preferably with coaching experience, but more importantly with the personality and drive to make a difference to our coaching programme; working with players who are just picking up a stick for the first time to those who are currently part of the Scotland U16 and U18 National squads. The Hockey GAP will work in the PE Department each morning and coach hockey each afternoon, Monday to Friday, and will also coach/umpire on Saturday mornings.

Accommodation (full board) within the Boarding House will be provided and the Hockey GAP student will receive a monthly allowance of around £500.

Stewart’s Melville College run a large and varied hockey programme from Primary 4 (8 years of age) to S6 (18 years of age) and have been lucky enough to win numerous national titles at both U15 and U18 levels over the last 5 years.

Previous Hockey GAPs include Callum Mackenzie (current Scotland and GB EDP player), Joe Waterston (current U21 Scotland player) and ‘Classic League’ players Simon Naughtin and this year’s Hockey GAP, Mitch Tate from Perth, Western Australia.

Teacher of Economics and Business Management

We have a vacancy for a part-time Teacher of Economics and Business Management from 20 August 2020 to teach at National 5 and Higher levels, and with the possibility of teaching Advanced Higher (the Scottish equivalent of ‘A’ Level) for a suitably qualified candidate.  There will be a total teaching allocation of approximately 13 hours per week (0.6 FTE).  Applicants should be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the GTC Scotland.
