Support for Learning Teacher

The Junior School seek to appoint a permanent Support for Learning Teacher. The successful candidate will have relevant experience as a Class Teacher and be GTCS registered. The position is full time and the intended start date will be 5 January 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to work across both ESMS Junior School sites.

Support for Learning Teachers are responsible for supporting children from Primary 1 to 7, working closely with Year Group Leaders, Class Teachers, specialist teachers, Teacher Assistants and parents.

Junior School Receptionist (Part-Time)

We invite applications for the part-time, temporary post of Receptionist in The Junior School at Ravelston. This post requires excellent organisational, administrative and secretarial skills as well as an ability to work efficiently as part of a large team. The successful candidate will work closely with office colleagues to oversee administration and reception duties, deal with enquiries and process bookings efficiently for our families. The successful applicant should have had experience in a similar role meeting multiple demands within a busy office or school environment.

The hours of work will be 12pm to 5pm on Wednesday; and 8am to 5pm Thursday and Friday with 30 minutes (unpaid) for lunch, a paid working week of 20 hours. The salary will be within the range £19,026 to £20,220 (pro-rata) per annum (Points D12 – D15 on the ESMS Support Staff scales as at 1 April 2020).  This is a temporary post until October 2021.

Purchase and Procurement Officer

We seek to appoint an experienced financial administrator with a demonstrable focus on customer service to manage the purchase and sales ledgers of Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools (ESMS) and to develop best practice in procurement.  This vacancy is part of a restructure of the Schools’ finance team and represents an opportunity to join a forward-looking team working within one of Scotland’s leading independent school groups.

The successful candidate will have a range of administrative experience in financial roles and be able to demonstrate the ability to take personal responsibility for a challenging range of immediate and long-term projects.  Previous experience in managing preferred supplier lists and developing working relationships with key external stakeholders is a significant advantage.

The starting salary for this role will be £24,657 - £27,006, with annual reviews and a package of attractive benefits.

The schools' wraparound care services continue to expand and we are always interested to hear from those who are interested to work in our evolving Early Morning, After School and Holiday Clubs.
