To show our support for Former Pupil Doddie Weir and his incredible ‘My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’, we are inviting the ESMS community to join us in representing the ‘Edinburgh’ region in the ongoing Active Inter-District Challenge, Doddie Aid, which is running until 6th February.

As well as encouraging us all to get out for some daily exercise, the challenge also helps to raise awareness and money for vital Motor Neuron Disease research through the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

How can my family get involved?

To join the challenge, Doddie is asking you to get behind one of five teams from the old Scottish Inter-District Championship (The South, Edinburgh, Glasgow, North & Midlands or Scottish Exiles) by logging any exercise by downloading and using the trac4good app on your phone, which will count towards your team’s total miles. This could be anything from walking the dog, cycling or even horse riding! If you are able to, you can also donate to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation via the app. Donations larger than £20 will also qualify to receive a free team snood (donate and order your snood here) so that you can represent your district whilst you’re out racking up your miles!

At the end of the challenge, each team’s total miles and donations will be tallied up and the winning teams for both distance and generosity will be announced.

Please remember to tag us in any photos of your activity! We can’t wait to see the ESMS community taking part.
