Each year, our ESMS Community enjoys an exciting repertoire of plays, musicals and performances, expertly delivered by students from all Schools, with the guidance and support of our teachers helping them to bring out their talents. Given the formidable effort that goes into curating such an exciting calendar of productions, we are delighted to announce that we are the winners of the Independent Schools of the Year Award in the Performing Arts, Music and Drama category.

Independent Schools of the Year Awards showcase transformative and innovative projects from schools across the UK and we are immensely proud that the work of our staff and students has been recognised in this way

The 2023/23 year wrapped up with the dazzling Senior School rendition of “The Sound of Music”, set to a live score by ESMS musicians. P7 students delivered a fantastic adaptation of “Matilda”, while P5s gave us comedy and puns in “The Pirates of the Curry Bean”, and P3s entertained us with “The Bumblesnouts Save the World”. Also this year, our Middle School students delighted us with "Shrek The Musical", our Senior students moved us with “Dr Korczak’s Example” and “Our Town”. Add to all these, the gravity-defying dance performances in the Junior and Senior School Kaleidoscope shows as well as the musical stages of the Jazz and Blues Night and Choral and Orchestral concerts, and it becomes clear the ESMS stage repertoire truly has something for everyone to enjoy.

We look forward to another action-packed year of performances!
