Stewart's Melville College

Independent Day and Boarding School for boys aged 12 - 18 in Edinburgh

For over 150 years, Stewart’s Melville College, in Edinburgh, Scotland has been educating boys. Here your son can enjoy all the strengths of a traditional boys’ school. The staff at Stewart's Melville College understand boys and the school environment is designed solely with the needs of teenage boys in mind.

Our school offers the Scottish curriculum and first class teaching and we strongly believe in our nine school values which lie at the heart of everything we do at Stewart's Melville College. The nine values - kindness, respect, commitment, enthusiasm, responsibility, grace, appreciation, confidence and integrity - are recognised and followed by all members of the school community and, as a result, we are confident that our boys will grow up to be, in simple terms, good people who will make a positive difference to the world in which they will live and work.

An outstanding school; happy pupils, happy staff - focused on self-development with impressive results.
